We patriotically drive the Peugeot into the enemy territory of Italy. Whoa. The original idea was to head to Mont Blanc; however, a July snowstorm has dropped 10" on the glaciers, and weather makes the passage to the Cosmic refuge impossible. We abandon that plan, and head instead to Alegria, where we will take the ski lifts up and then climb Monte Rosa (15,203', second-highest peak in the Alps).
