put out by the pro-FDR forces; the bottom by the anti-. (All of them are
in relation to FDR's 1944 election to a third term, over Wendell Willkie.)
Apparently, bashing the wives of gubernatorial / presidential candidates
has been a long New York tradition and continues in fine form today.
