Heather now gets her priorities straight and protects the freshly-shaven
elephant. (Note that the perspective is off -- the elephant is
actually close to full-size, and its trunk waves gracefully in the wind.
The animals have some metal support structures inside them -- a few pieces
of rebar tied together -- but in general the animals are created freeform
and are not just grown about a pre-shaped form. The ivy dinosaurs in
front of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, for instance, are grown
around forms, and can be completely regrown on a much faster basis.)
